    Please, enter the exit!

    Every exit is a new entrance. From interior to interior. From interior to exterior. From exterior to interior. But which is which dimension? Like in birth – to exit the mother's womb or to enter a new world. From one world to another. One can also exit from exterior to interior, also from exterior to exterior, and the crossing portal, the sign either has to be imagined or made visible to the eyes. Such a vision of ENTRANCE becomes in Dūrmuiža.

    This exit sign travels through time and space quite literally. It was first exhibited as part of our work ZRwhdZ at the Prague Quadrennial in 2019 (http://kristadzudzilo.lv/exhibition/zrwhdz/), where it was located on both sides of the installation door portal - outside and inside. Then, in a free-standing form, it was exhibited at the Purvītis Prize final exhibition (http://reinisdzudzilo.lv/ekspozicija-exposition/zrwhdz-lnmm/) in 2021 at the Latvian National Museum of Art's 2nd-floor lobby, next to wall paintings by Vilhelms Purvītis and Gerhards von Rosen.

    This is the first time the exit is exhibited alone and in the exterior, going into nature like a conductor's baton, clearly and precisely revealing the score's task.

     

     

    Lūdzu, ienāc izejā!

    Katra iziešana ir jauna ieiešana. No interjera interjerā. No interjera eksterjerā. No eksterjera interjerā. Tikai kurš ir kurš lielums? Kā piedzimšanā - iziet no mātes dzemdes vai ieiet jaunā pasaulē. No vienas pasaules otrā. Var arī iziet no eksterjera interjerā, arī no eksterjera eksterjerā, un šķērsojošais portāls, zīmē ir vai nu jāiztēlojas vai jāpadara acīm redzama. Par tādu redzēšanu ENTRANCE kļūst Dūrmuižā.

    Šī izejas zīme ceļo laikā un telpā pavisam burtiski. Pirmo reizi tā tika izstādīta, kā daļa no mūsu darba ZRwhdZ Prāgas kvadriennālē 2019. gadā (http://kristadzudzilo.lv/exhibition/zrwhdz/), kurā tā atradās instalācijas durvju portāla abās pusēs - ār un iekš. Pēc tam jau brīvstāvošā veidā tā tika eksponēta Purviša balvas fināla izstādē (http://reinisdzudzilo.lv/ekspozicija-exposition/zrwhdz-lnmm/) 2021. gadā Latvijas Nacionālajā mākslas muzeja 2. stāva vestibilā līdzās Vilhelma Purvīša un Gerharda fon Rozena sienu gleznojumiem.

    Šī ir pirmā reize, kad izeja tiek esponēta viena pati un eksterjerā, dodoties dabā kā diriģenta zizlis, skaidri un precīzi atklājot partitūras uzdevumu.
